Mary Blair was a prominent animator and color designer for the Walt Disney Company. She got her start in 1940, and made an immediate and excellent impression on Walt. Even after resigning from the company as a full-time employee, Walt kept bringing her back to work on projects for his company. Here is her story.
Bobby Burgess was one of the original Mouseketeers on the original Mickey Mouse Club TV show that aired in the mid to late 1950s. Bobby was a natural performer from a young age, loving to dance and beginning lessons as a toddler. By the time he was cast on The Mickey Mouse Club, he’d already appeared on about seventy-five TV shows. This is his story.
Cubby O’Brien is one of the original Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club, and is one of the best-known of the male Mouseketeers to this day. In addition to being an actor, dancer, and singer on the show, Cubby is a drummer, and this has been his primary career for most of his life. This is Cubby’s interesting story.
Doreen Tracey was a Mouseketeer on the original Mickey Mouse Club TV show. She appeared on all three seasons of the original show. She went on to have a brief career in TV guest spots on other shows, and as the lead singer of a band that toured American military bases in Vietnam. She did some other interesting and even eyebrow-raising things after her time as a Mouseketeer, too.
