Journey into Imagination with Figment is the third iteration of a ride about imagination that is located at EPCO at Walt Disney World in Florida. The current iteration is a mixture of the best features of the first two iterations. It focuses on the importance of a free imagination and features a dragon mascot named Figment. This is the ride’s interesting story.
Tommy Cole is a former Mouseketeer who was on the show for all three of its original seasons. A singer, musician, and actor, he had to work on his dancing skills, which paid off by getting him promoted to the Red Team halfway through the show’s first season. He later became a makeup artist, a dad, and a husband. This is his story.
Les Clark was one of the longest-serving animators at the Walt Disney Company, and the first of the famous “Nine Old Men” animators of the early days of the company. He started out literally being discovered by Walt himself when he was working in an ice cream shop in high school. This is his story of making his way up in the company.
Russi Taylor and Wayne Allwine were the voices of Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse, respectively, beginning in 1977 for Wayne and 1986 for Russi. They voiced these iconic characters until they passed away, ten years ago for Wayne, and this year for Russi. They also found love with each other while voicing these romantically-linked cartoon characters, and got married themselves. Here is their story.
