Roy Williams: The Mickey Mouse Club #10

Roy Williams was a Disney animator and story idea guy who specialized in gags and pranks. He was also a skilled sketch artist, and often made live appearances at Disney events and at Disneyland to draw for guests. Though not an actor, Walt Disney himself decided Roy should be an “adult Mouseketeer” on The Mickey Mouse Club, where he would be called the Big Mooseketeer. This is his story.

Doreen Tracey: The Mickey Mouse Club #7

Doreen Tracey was a Mouseketeer on the original Mickey Mouse Club TV show. She appeared on all three seasons of the original show. She went on to have a brief career in TV guest spots on other shows, and as the lead singer of a band that toured American military bases in Vietnam. She did some other interesting and even eyebrow-raising things after her time as a Mouseketeer, too.

Karen Pendleton: The Mickey Mouse Club #6

Karen Pendleton was one of the original Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club. She stayed with the show for its entire time on TV, then quit acting after that. In fact, she went on to lead a pretty normal life, though she was always fond of her Mickey Mouse Club years, and always willing to attend reunions. This is her story.

Cubby O’Brien is one of the original Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club, and is one of the best-known of the male Mouseketeers to this day. In addition to being an actor, dancer, and singer on the show, Cubby is a drummer, and this has been his primary career for most of his life. This is Cubby’s interesting story.

Darlene Gillespie: The Mickey Mouse Club #4

Darlene Gillespie is one of the original Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club. The most popular cast member in the first season, her popularity was usurped by Annette Funicello in the second season and thereafter. Darlene enjoyed a career in medicine, before becoming a petty criminal, and even did some jail time, before retiring to a respectable life. This is her intriguing tale.

Annette Funicello: The Mickey Mouse Club #3

Annette Funicello is perhaps the best known of the original Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club TV show. In addition to being a Mouseketeer and appearing in guest spots in several Disney movies and TV shows, she also had a career as a singer, and as the popular star of a series of beach movies in the 1960s. This is Annette’s intriguing stardom story.
